Curriculum Vitae

In 2003 I began my academic career at University College Utrecht, majoring in social science. In 2004 I switched to study psychology at Utrecht University. After obtaining a BSc in neuropsychology I was accepted to the research master program Neuroscience & Cognition. During this period I first started working for NICHE as an intern on the autism project of Marieke Langen. After this internship I stayed as a research assistant to work on the omega-3 project and finish my MSc in cognitive neuroscience. After graduating in august 2009 I continued working on the omega-3 project.

September 2010 I have started my PhD project on structural and functional connectivity in child psychiatric disorders. I am however still involved with the omega-3 project as well.

Current Research Projects:

Brain development in autism and ADHD has been shown to follow different trajectories compared to typically developing children. During my PhD I will investigate the development of structural and functional connectivity in these disorders.
